Meet Our Team

Dr. Rob Thorup is best described as an entrepreneur who happens to be a practicing Dentist. Born in Salt Lake City, Dr. Rob attended Brigham Young University where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1986. While attending BYU he worked as an Emergency Medical Technician for Valley Ambulance and was one of the pioneering members of the Timpanogos Mountain Rescue Team. Dr. Rob served an LDS Mission to Cleveland, Ohio. After graduating from BYU, he was accepted to the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry, where he graduated with a Doctorate in Dental Surgery in 1989.

Shortly after returning home from dental school, Dr. Rob found himself in public service as an EMT-Intermediate for the Alpine-Highland-American Fork Emergency Medical Services while maintaining a successful dental practice.

Dr. David White believes going to the dentist shouldn’t feel intimidating—it should feel like visiting someone who genuinely cares about your smile (and maybe even makes you laugh a little along the way).

Dr. Dave grew up in Orem, Utah. He attended Brigham Young University for his undergraduate degree and then Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, where he graduated with his Doctorate in Dental Surgery in 2014. After dental school, Dr. Dave completed a 1-year General Practice Residency from 2014-15 at the University of Utah. Dr. Dave met his wife, Karlie, while vacationing with her older brother and family at Lake Powell and playing Skip-bo. They have 4 children who keep them busy with all of their extra-curricular activities. Dr. White enjoys DIY projects at home, pheasant hunting with his dog and spending time with his family, especially in the outdoors.

Tracy was born and raised in Olympia Washington. She recently received her MBA from Brigham Young University. As our patients have come to know, Tracy is a fighter and advocate when it comes to battling insurance companies on their behalf.

When not at work, Tracy is a wonderful wife, mom to her daughter, step-children, eight hens, five beehives, Chihuahua, and loves to garden, paint, backpack, fish, and enjoy the warm weather.

Nichelle was born and raised in Orem, Utah, with her four brothers. She attended Snow College for two years before earning her Bachelor’s in Dental Hygiene from Utah Valley University in 2014. She met her husband on a blind date. They have been married since 2012, and now they have two beautiful daughters! They love traveling, swimming, Café Rio, and Dirty Dr. Peppers.

Laura grew up in Layton, Utah. She studied Dental Assisting at Davis Technical College and started working as a Dental Assistant. She later graduated from Weber State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Dental Hygiene. Laura has been working in the dental field for over 20 years! Laura and her husband have 4 kids who keep them busy! She loves spending time with family doing pretty much anything. She loves the mountains, the beach, and wishes she could spend more time outdoors exploring. She always has to be listening to something like music, audiobooks, or podcasts about the supernatural (she may or may not believe in Bigfoot.) Her other loves include plants, puzzles, and Dr. Pepper from McDonald’s.

Courtney moved to Utah from Pittsburgh, PA in the summer of 2022 with her husband, Ross, and her dog, Topanga. She studied Dental Hygiene at Pennsylvania College of Technology. As a hygienist of over 7 years, she is passionate about patient care and education. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and all things outdoors including hiking, rock climbing, skiing, and skydiving!

Tonya has been in dentistry since 1994 when she started dental assisting school right after high school. Since then, she has worked in all positions of the dental office except the hygienist and Dentist. She loves the dental field because of the connections she makes with patients, co-workers and those she has trained. When she is not working, she loves doing things with her husband and 4 kids, some of their favorite things are family movie nights, going on long walks together, learning how to play pickle ball, and going on vacation together.

Amanda was born and raised in South Jordan, Utah. She then moved to Seattle where she studied dental assisting at Lake Washington Institute of Technology. Amanda has been in the dental industry for over 4 years and loves what she does. Addicted to Mexican food and watching Formula 1, Amanda also enjoys camping and the great outdoors.

Olivia was born and raised in Cedar Hills Utah. She attends Weber State University and is studying Health Administration. She served an 18-month mission for her church in Berlin Germany. She loves playing soccer, basketball, and pickleball. Some of her favorite things to do are hiking, fishing, boating, and running.

Born and raised in Cedar Hills, Utah, Emma has been a dental assistant for a year and absolutely loves it! She enjoys connecting with patients, making them feel comfortable, and meeting new people every day. Outside of the office, you’ll find her spending time with her family and boyfriend, traveling to new places, or hitting the gym.

Sam has been working at Thorup Dental on and off over the summers since she was 15. She loves getting to know each patient who walks through the door and helps them leave with a smile. She feels lucky to work with an amazing team that feels like family, and how together they make the office a fun experience! When Sam isn't working you can find her enjoying a good book, watching movies, or at a concert.

Amanda is a mom of four who balances a busy family life with a passion for fitness, coaching group strength training sessions several mornings each week. She loves spending her free time socializing on the golf course with friends and/or her husband, boating on the lake, or soaking up the sun in warm destinations.
